Internally threaded jewellery has a hollow threaded section inside the bar. The jewellery top has a small threaded pin that screws into the bar to hold it securely in place.
Unlike externally threaded jewellery, the threaded section does not pass through the piercing when inserting or removing the bar, leaving a smooth surface to pass through the piercing.
Many of our piercing tops are designed to be used with our internally threaded labret bars, allowing you to change the top while keeping the bar if the threading is compatible.
